Tamara Dominates Debutante

Beholder got off to a slow start as a broodmare, with her first two foals failing to win. Her third foal is a graded stakes winner sprinting on the turf, and her fourth, a Bolt d’Oro filly, is now two-for-two and a grade one winner. Her fifth is a Curlin colt who brought several million at auction this year, and her sixth will be a 2024 foal by Jackie’s Warrior.

That Bolt d’Oro filly is Tamara, who showed versatility in her debut and then ran off on Saturday with the G1 Del Mar Debutante. Her record might just see Beholder go back to Bolt d’Oro next year!

Dreamfyre was scratched from the Debutante after failing to clean her feed tub Saturday or train with energy on Friday.

Delight was fourth on a track probably wetter than she liked on Thursday in Kentucky Downs’ third.

Abaan dominated his second hurdle outing, taking a 2 1/4 mile hurdle race at Colonial on Friday.
